Faculty of Nursing Universitas Andalas has invited Prof. Dr Khatijah Lim Abdullah, PhD for a workshop about "How to Prepare Manuscript for International Publication", on Friday, 13th November 2020.

Lecturer research needs to be known globally. One of the methods to deliver substantial impact in the international scope is having international research publication.

There are many challenges for a research article to be accepted in an international journal. One of the obstacles is the manuscript's structure. Having said that, this workshop seeks guidance for creating the best manuscript for the lecturers.  

"Never think of the process as a short pathway. Instead, it will need a focus and patience in order having accepted in an international journal. However, through the process, the author will mature and gradually become an expert. Strong motivation is the key," said Prof. Khatijah.

This year, Faculty of Nursing collaborates with Prof Khatijah and Prof Chong for some assistance to review manuscripts of lecturers in Faculty of Nursing and holding a writing clinic workshop to learn more about publications. 

 "It is the main performance indicator for each Faculty in Universitas Andalas to have at least 20 publications in the International indexing Journal. We need a big effort to achieve the goal, but we need to realize its not an instant process. The publication needs collaboration, such as co-authoring with well-known nursing expertise."

"We hope all lecturers could gain more experience in writing a manuscript. With the help of the expert, its hope could escalate lecturers confidence and finding more opportunities for submitting articles in an international journal. "
